Anyone Else Hate Sports?

When I say sports, I'm talking about any sport that has a ball, puck, etc. The reason for this question is why do we pay these 'athletes' millions of dollars to throw a ball at the net or hit it with a bat?? Why do they deserve this kind of money? Take a look at this quote: "Only in America can an athlete get paid millions of dollars while a WWII veteran live in a cardboard box". What's up with this?
